I’m just back from vacation. I read a few books, soaked up some sun, and enjoyed a break from the daily routine. But returning to the realities of fall has been a bit of a shock! If you’re anything like me, the fall change of season feels full of anticipation and ambition. It’s a holdover from childhood, when every September meant a fresh start and new challenges. As I get my kids ready to go back to school, my thoughts are turning to how to have a productive and enjoyable fall. My own back-to-school ritual, if you will.
As much as I loved being away, I always enjoy the feeling of returning home. And we’re coming up on the months when we will spend the most time indoors. I like to swap out my Maison Berger home fragrances as the seasons change. To make our home extra warm and welcoming, I love to burn Home Sweet Home Lamp Fragrance. The warm, woody aroma is perfect for creating a cozy cocoon for quiet time at home.
My thoughts are also turning to fall cooking. We won’t be relying on outdoor grilling so much as the weather cools off. I love the stews and soups that come with colder weather. Unfortunately, when all the cooking is done inside, that’s where odors get trapped! In the kitchen, Green Apple is probably my favorite home fragrance for fall. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the crisp, fruity aromas of the season while eliminating unwanted odors. The Essential Round Lamp is the perfect understated Lampe Berger for my kitchen. The Ocean Breeze fragrance included in the gift set was ideal for summer (and will conjure warmer days in the winter!), but I’ll be burning Green Apple this month to get into the fall spirit.
It’s always a challenge to refocus on work after an extended break. I find I work best when I have a ritual to help me buckle down.
