With the above guidelines, a 500 ml lamp refill typically corresponds to 20 hours of active diffusion and 80 hours of lingering fragrance. A 1 L lamp refill corresponds to 40 hours of active diffusion and 160 hours of lingering fragrance.

Lampes Berger are of very high quality. By looking after your lamp properly, your Lampe Berger will accompany you for many years! In particular, it is important to use only Maison Berger Paris perfume in your Lampe Berger. This way, the burner can last for one year or 200 uses; remember to regularly renew it for optimal use of your Lampe Berger.

To extend the life of your lamp, we recommend cleaning the lamp exterior only with a microfiber cloth. Use of sponges or cleaning products may deteriorate the lamp’s lacquer coating. We also highly recommend using a funnel with your lamp to prevent spills, as the alcohol content can also damage the lamp’s exterior.

No. These products have a different composition that does not allow them to work in the lamp. Using these products in your lamp can damage the wick.

Only the use of Maison Berger Paris perfumes with the Maison Berger Paris catalytic process guarantee quality and safe use of the Lampe Berger. Using any other perfume than those by Maison Berger Paris could damage your Lampe Berger irreversibly.

Each of our perfumes is a unique olfactory composition that guarantees quality perfuming and optimal diffusion. To enjoy the benefits of your Lampe Berger, you should not mix perfumes together. However, if you want to modulate the intensity, you can add Air Pur So Neutral to your Lampe Berger.

To change the perfume in your lamp, burn Air Pur So Neutral in your lamp for 20 minutes to clean out the wick and the lamp. You may also air out your wick in a dry place. You can then use the new Maison Berger Paris perfume of your choice.

To enjoy several olfactory notes in your interior, we recommend having several lamps and allocating one perfume per lamp.

No, our perfumes do not have an expiry date.

The only difference is in the name! The Maison Berger Paris brand designs, produces and sells the perfumes for Lampe Berger. In some shops, you may find Lampe Berger Paris perfumes; they are the same as the Maison Berger Paris lamp refills.

The Lampe Berger process is made possible thanks to our Air Pur 3P Lamp Burner, the holder of 7 international patents and the result of ongoing research conducted by our technical center in Limoges, France’s ceramic capital.

Our burner – which consists of a ceramic “stone” and a cotton wick - harnesses the power of fire and catalytic combustion at the site of the burner. The heat emitted by the burner attracts malodorous molecules and destroys them. This action is combined with the diffusion of perfume into your space.

Since 2019, our new ceramic formulation has improved catalytic performance and resistance to air conditioning. The new Lampe Berger-shaped insert allows temperature control in the fragrance diffusion zone, maintaining the olfactory quality of the fragrance and limiting clogging during use.

The new cotton wick is less dense, with a standard length of 40cm, and is adaptable to all lamp volumes. It is better suited to regulating the supply of perfumed to the burner and ensures optimal consumption and diffusion of the perfume.

There are two zones in the burner. An external part, a catalytic zone, where the temperature reaches around 500°C, which allows for the catalytic oxidation of alcohol and destroys unwanted odors. A central part, with a much lower temperature (200°C), which diffuses home fragrance while perfectly preserving its notes and thus guaranteeing excellent olfactory quality.

We do not use any harmful chemicals in our fragrances, and we do not test on animals. Our fragrances are made with 90% cosmetic-grade isopropyl alcohol, 1% proprietary fragrance, and purified mineral water to create the scent. The standards we use to maintain safety in the chemical compounds of our fragrance formulas are more severe than those required by the International Fragrance Association. We hold ourselves to a higher standard to ensure the safe use of our product.

We also remind you of the simple gestures that should not be forgotten in terms of hygiene in the home: regular airing of rooms, frequent use of a vacuum cleaner (especially if you have rugs or carpeting), lower temperature in living areas, annual maintenance of boilers, and regular cleaning of air vents.

Our products, like most fragrances, are created with a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients. There are several reasons for this.

Nature only offers about 400 natural raw materials that can be used in perfumery. While these do make up the perfumer’s palette, a large number of synthetic raw materials play a role as well. This opens up our options to 4,500 different scents, allowing our perfumers to create endlessly.

As our home fragrances are composed like body perfumes, we use the full range of perfume ingredients. Our fragrances are meant to be complex, rather than focused on a single note, as an essential oil would be. Don’t be surprised if your fragrance appears to change over the course of diffusion!

Attentive to the quality of air indoors, Maison Berger Paris commits to only diffuse substances which are perfectly managed and controlled. Isopropyl alcohol perfectly meets the promises of quality and harmlessness of Maison Berger Paris.

All our perfumes are tested through extremely rigorous quality protocols, and we ensure the quality of the raw materials we use. However, we do not recommend the use of the Lampe Berger in the presence of sensitive people such as infants (0 to 3 years old), pregnant women, or immune-compromised people.

Yes, you can use a Lampe Berger in the presence of children over three years old, as long as you follow the recommendations for use. Please ensure that they do not handle the lamp themselves and that the lamp is not within their reach.

Maison Berger fragrance is not dangerous to adult animals. In fact, many of our customers use our products to remove pet odors in their spaces! However, we do advise you to follow the recommendations for best use and ensure that the products are out of your pet’s reach.

As an exception, we advise against using the Lampe Berger in the presence of baby animals, fish in aquariums, and birds.

Our products are not tested on animals, and we do not use animal material to make them.

Due to the flammable nature of alcohol-based products, we recommend you dispose of
contents at a special or hazardous waste processing site.

Hazardous waste must be disposed of in accordance with the environmental legislation of each locality. Waste management must be carried out without endangering human health and without damage to the environment, in particular without creating a risk to water, air, soil, fauna or flora. Do not contaminate soil or water with waste or dispose of it in the environment.

Only our bottles and boxes are recyclable. Some packaging may contain elements that may interfere with recyclability. Please check the recycling regulations of your locality prior to recycling our products.

The use of BPA is prohibited in the production of our bottles.
